The threshold will be reduced by 8.5 inches and is 24 inches wide.
The Convertible option will reduce the threshold by about 8.5 inches and is almost 19 inches wide.
We can cut and convert steel, cast iron, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs.
If your house was built prior to 1950 there’s a fairly good chance your tub is cast iron. If you’re not sure what material your bathtub is made of send us a picture via email to Info@NorCalSafetyStep.com and we’ll identify the tub immediately for you.
You can use your newly installed step 48 hours after installation. This allows the adhesives to dry to a hard waterproof seal.
The steps come in white and beige. With the door option you have the choice of either having the door open left or right handed. All steps come with an anti-slip surface built right into the step, not a sticker like most other companies provide, which tend to fall off over time.
In most cases your existing shower curtain will do the trick. If not, shower curtain extensions can be purchased, or you can lower your shower curtain rod.
Absolutely, you can fill the tub with water just as you would before the bathtub cutout. The Convertible option gets installed with a double seal ensuring a water tight seal is achieved.
To install either step option it will take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
Not at all, we clean as we go, and after the job is completed we take all of our garbage with us.
Unfortunately we would not be able to convert this bathtub. The main reason for this is the heat generated while cutting the cast iron or steel bathtub that is under the acrylic liner could possibly warp or melt the acrylic bathtub liner.

We provide a (3) year warranty on all seals. This warranty includes warping, cracking of the step, and all door and connecting seals.
